The Falls were formed 150 million years ago and are the largest waterfalls in the world in terms of length, measuring 2,700 meters wide. There are approximately 300 waterfalls, ranging from 40 to 80 meters high, with a flow rate of 20 to 30 million liters of water per second. Some of them are located on the Brazilian side in the Iguaçu National Park and the other part on the Argentine side in the Iguazú National Park. From the Argentine park you can see the largest of the falls, the Devil’s Throat, up close. On the Brazilian side, the main attraction besides the falls, trails and lunch at the restaurant with panoramic views, is the boat ride very close to the falls, so close that you can even cool off in the waters of the falls.
